TIP : When comparing ice machine price and capacities, use the following 3 factors in your information gathering, to ensure all comaprisons are based on an equal datum.
1/. Get the ice production figures based on +32 degs air, + 21 degs C water inlet.
These are the right ratings for Australia. ( Ice production capabity decreases, the more ambient and water tempertaures increase.)
2/. Base your ice requirements on storage bin capacity, and how often the ice maker could replenish that bin if you emptied it all at once.
( Many ice machine sales people, say their ice maker is a "40 kgs machine". True, but that may be it's absolute best ice production in 24 hours. If the bin only holds 10 kgs, and you need 20 kgs first thing, then it will take at least 6 more hours, to produce the next 10 kgs of ice.
You'll need a bigger machine, with more storage.)
3/. If you are using bagged ice at present, then this will give you an indication of your machine size. If you use 5 x 5 kg bags of ice per day, then you'll need a minimum of 25 kgs in the storage bin of your selection.
